Ottawa Senators defenseman Cody Ceci spoke to the media after Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and addressed a hit from behind delivered by Nazem Kadri that led to a game-tying goal.

In an honest interview, Ceci said "I showed my back a bit, hoping he'd slow up and I ended up face first in the boards."

He added it was a "tough play" and that he was "a little surprised" that no penalty was called on the play, suggesting he maybe should have stayed on the ice a little longer.
