Arsenal manager Unai Emery revealed that his club is only looking at adding players on loan during this month's transfer window.
"We cannot sign permanently," the Spaniard told reporters, as quoted by The Telegraph's Sam Dean. "Only loan players."
Emery's admission came as the north London club sits just outside of a top-four spot in the Premier League.

When asked about the Suarez, Emery said: "I don't know his situation now. We can only sign players later on. I know the club is working on possibilities of which players can help us with big performances like we need now."
Emery's also been linked with another of his former players, Sevilla mainstay Ever Banega. "I know this player and he's a very good player," the manager added. "I cannot tell you more."
Arsenal spent relatively heavily last summer on the likes of Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno, and Sokratis. Based on Emery's comments, the club may have to make do with those additions - for the most part - as this season meanders toward its denouement.
