Monaco's busy January shopping spree is set for a fifth addition.

Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi is poised to join the principality side, with ESPN FC's Julien Laurens reporting that the 25-year-old's former international tutor, Thierry Henry, will sign him on loan for the remainder of this season. The deal reportedly does not include an option to buy.

Batshuayi, who's on Chelsea's books and was sent on loan to Spaniards Valencia in August, should help bolster a Monaco attack that's been ravaged by injuries this season.

The move comes after Monaco signed full-back Fode Ballo-Toure from Lille, veteran Brazilian center-half Naldo from Schalke, Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea, and defensive midfielder William Vainqueur on loan from Antalyaspor.

Batshuayi, a 22-time capped international, will reunite with Henry, who was an assistant to Roberto Martinez with Belgium, and with Franck Passi, who managed the striker during a spell at Marseille. The loan will be Batshuayi's third temporary switch in the span of a year following brief stops at Borussia Dortmund and Valencia.

Monaco currently sit second from bottom in Ligue 1 on 13 points, but just five points adrift of Amiens and safety.
