The Milwaukee Brewers won their arbitration case against left-handed reliever Josh Hader, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

The two-time All-Star had filed for $6.4 million while the Brewers offered $4.1 million, which will reportedly be his salary for the 2020 season. This was the left-hander's first year of arbitration eligibility.

While it's not the salary Hader was seeking, it's a significant increase over the $687,000 he earned in 2019.

Hader is coming off a stellar campaign where he posted a 2.62 ERA and 0.81 WHIP with 138 strikeouts over 75 2/3 innings while recording a team-leading 37 saves.

Due to his Super 2 status, Hader is scheduled to have an extra year of arbitration before hitting free agency in 2024.
