Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson isn't holding back with his trash talk targeting the division rival Minnesota Twins.

"... We're way more athletic than them, and that's just true facts," Anderson said, according to Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago. "But at the end of the day, we know we have to go out and prove it. ... We're going to go head to head and see what happens. But I think we've got a good shot of whoopin' on 'em."

Neither team maintained an upper hand in 2020 while splitting 10 contests evenly. However, the Twins outscored the White Sox 54-42 in the season series, and they finished a game ahead of Chicago in the division race.

Anderson went 12-for-44 (.273) with a home run while playing in all 10 games against the Twins.

Both clubs figure to be in the thick of the AL Central race again in 2021, and White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez echoed Anderson's confidence on Monday.

"Last year we were good," Jimenez said, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com. "This year we are going to be better."

The bad blood between these two franchises will get some time to simmer, as the White Sox and Twins don't square off until a three-game series scheduled to begin on May 11 in Chicago.
