The Philadelphia Phillies placed left-handers Jose Alvarado and Matt Moore and infielder Ronald Torreyes on the injured list Monday, the club announced.

The moves are related to COVID-19 issues, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, but the team did not officially disclose the reasons behind the IL stints.

Additionally, two Phillies coaches - first base coach Pablo Figueroa and coaching assistant Bobby Meacham - left the team and entered COVID-19 protocols, bringing the total number of absent coaches to five. Third base coach Dusty Wathan, hitting coach Joe Dillon, and bullpen coach Dave Lundquist entered protocols on Friday and have yet to return to the team.

No Phillies players are known to have tested positive for the virus, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Philadelphia recalled left-handers Damon Jones and Christopher Sanchez and infielder Nick Maton from the club's alternate site at Lehigh Valley. Maton will start at shortstop on Monday against the San Francisco Giants.

On the coaching front, infield coach Juan Castro will fill in for Figueroa as first base coach while Triple-A manager Gary Jones has joined the Phillies as acting third base coach.
