The Chicago White Sox placed All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain, the club announced Wednesday.

Anderson missed the last two games because of hamstring soreness.

The 2019 American League batting champion is slashing .302/.331/.458 with 14 home runs, 53 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases this season for the AL Central-leading White Sox.

Chicago also reinstated outfielder Billy Hamilton, designated utility man Jake Lamb for assignment, promoted infielder Romy Gonzalez, and recalled right-hander Matt Foster and first baseman/outfielder Gavin Sheets with active major-league rosters expanding in September.
