Report: UFC 264 draws nearly 1.8M pay-per-view buys
UFC 264, which featured a main-event bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, earned just under 1.8-million pay-per-view buys globally, John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal reports.
This would make the event the second-highest-selling card in UFC history, trailing only UFC 229, which reached 2.4 million buys and was headlined by McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Poirier defeated McGregor via TKO in their trilogy bout at UFC 264 after McGregor suffered a broken leg. The contest served as a rubber match, as each competitor had one win coming into the event.
While McGregor has dropped three of his last four fights, he continues to be a huge commercial success. He has reportedly headlined the seven highest-selling pay-per-views in UFC history.
