Linsanity is heading north of the border.
The 30-year-old, in his ninth NBA season, has averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in just under 20 minutes a night for the rebuilding Hawks this year. Through 457 career games, Lin has shot 43.6 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from 3-point territory, and 80.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Lin is set to join a Raptors squad that has undergone significant changes to its supporting cast in recent days. The team traded rotation mainstays Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, and C.J. Miles to the Memphis Grizzlies for former Defensive Player of the Year Marc Gasol, and jettisoned guard Malachi Richardson and center Greg Monroe in separate deals.
The Raptors currently sit one game behind the Milwaukee Bucks for Eastern Conference supremacy, and Lin's pending addition adds another wrinkle to a team vying to make its first Finals trip in franchise history.
