"I love it here. I want to be here," Cooper said when asked about his commitment to re-signing with the Cowboys, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. "I just love the situation, my teammates. I feel like it's the place for me."
Cooper has been Dallas' most productive target since the team acquired him from the Oakland Raiders midway through the 2018 season. He has amassed 117 catches, 1,696 yards, and 13 touchdowns in 21 games as a Cowboy.
Dallas exercised the fifth-year option on Cooper's rookie contract in April. The 25-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020, along with quarterback Dak Prescott and cornerback Byron Jones.
The 6-6 Cowboys sit atop the NFC East despite having lost their last two games. They visit the Chicago Bears on Thursday night.
